Smarter Together Collaborates
on Urban Mobility of the Future
On 19 June 2017, Smarter Together in cooperation with the Vienna Business Agency (Wirtschaftsagentur Wien) invited governance as well as business representatives to a broad meeting and exchange on Urban Mobility of the Future. Visions, trends and concrete solutions were presented to a wider public during presentations, talks and a mobility exhibition of currently used, modern eco-friendly vehicles. Some 60 attendees shared views, visions and expectations and some 20 more visited the exhibition stands, making the event another success in the line of Smarter Together events in the Community College “VHS Simmering.”
Highlights linked to Smarter Together were the presentation of a local Mobility Survey made by AIT (in cooperation with the Urban Renewal Office GB* 3/11) as well as future trends presented by the Vienna Mobility Agency. Also, Smarter Together project partners presented their concrete contributions as well as entrepreneurial philosophy: The Wiener Stadtwerke presented the Mobility Point, the Post shared its strategy in regards to an eco-friendly city logistics and its IVECO e-van, Siemens showcased its activities including two short testimonials, and Caruso and Sycube presented their respective e-car and e-bike sharing systems. Numerous others completed the business circle: IBIOLA, voltia, greenmove, SCO2T and Heavy Pedals, respectively thinkport Vienna.
